Information for Patients

Central London Acupuncture Clinic is Closed

Sadly the Central London NHS Acupuncture Clinic has been defunded.

If you found your treatment effective and want to continue, or never made it to the clinic from the waiting list, what are your options?

Nearly all acupuncture is private, but it is possible to find low cost community and student clinics. Links below will help you.

It is very important to make sure that your practitioner is appropriately qualified and insured.

Before you make an appointment, you need to ask them three questions:

  1. Where did you study? (Check out the college)
  2. How long was your study? (Minimum of three years)
  3. Are you a member of a Professional Body – which?

Make note of the answers, and do your own research. Acupuncture is fully safe, but 0nly in the hands of a fully qualified practitioner.

Best place to find a qualified practitioner is through one of the main professional associations in the UK, which all allow you to search for a practitioner in your area.
